Pocket dilemma!

I’m making another skirt like this one, this time with fun Echino fabric. It’s a really nice weight and I’m excited to get it finished. Thanks to Tabatha finding a pocket template that works, from a totally different pattern, I can make it super functional for work by having some handy pockets. I don’t think I mentioned it in my last post but she made some really nice versions of these skirts. But I’m having pocket indecisiveness. Opinions are welcome.

Grey/gray (never know which it is).

Natural

Or none?

  1. That’s a tough call Tara but if I had to choose, I’d pick the light grey ~OR~ make pockets from the same Echino fabric. Looks great so far!

  2. I can’t make pockets from the same fabric, well I can but I was trying to get fancy and make them invisible by lining up the print, but I can’t accomplish that from the piece I have left :/

  3. Hmmm, I think I’d go for the neutral or use a similar patterned fabric (similar to that in the skirt).

It’s looking fab so far Tara!

  4. I like the grey pockets. It’ll be super cute with the colorful skirt and more neutral pockets.

  5. Oooh, I own some of that Echino too – I love the colour combinations in that print! I like the way the beige pockets break up the print a bit but aren’t too obtrusive.

  6. Argh, maybe I’m making 2 skirts! haha

  7. I vote the natural pockets! The grey/gray (I’m never sure either) distracts from the beautiful fabric, while the natural complements it more. At least in my opinion :)
