Vintage haul

I found some really fun stuff thrifting last week.

There’s that pillow case I turned into a lovely headband, and actually 2 other projects that remain to be revealed.  That patchwork stuff is a big chuck of fabric.  I couldn’t resist picking up the Star Wars sheet.  My hubby still has his childhood Return of the Jedi comforter that he uses every night.  When I make our bed I hid it under our nice duvet.  Someday, when we have more rooms I think I’ll make a guest bed with Star Wars bedding.

I found this lovely gem and couldn’t resist.  It’s too bad I already made library bags for the boys when I took Home Ec because this would be perfect.  Maybe I’ll rename their library totes something else and wip up some with this anyway.  You can never have enough totes right?  Is it wrong to push my addiction on to my children?

  1. That’s hilarious that your husband still sleeps with his star wars comforter!

  2. I love that your huz has a secret security blanket. :) That floral fabric is just lovely.

  3. Oh oh I think I might be in trouble here :/
He has his own blankie because the duvet makes him too hot and I hog it :)

  4. What lovely vintage finds. I don’t think it’s awful to push your addiction on your kids. At least it’s not an unhealthy one!

  5. #1 Its totally ok to push that addiction on to your kids… or at least its ok to tell yourself its ok.

#2 I’m obsessed with that star wars sheet. I’m sure a huge star wars nerd. Fact: approx 6 years ago I was given a book to test your star wars knowledge along with star wars trivial pursuit. I “studied” just a little bit before giving them a go. After a day or two of brushing up my knowledge I challenged my brother to read me every question in the trivial pursuit box. I knew every answer. Then I took the test in the book, I got the highest level. Oh yes. I am a star wars ultra nerd. Wow, what a confession. Sorry to bog you down with that!
