So many months, so many WIP’s in my craft space, so much time lost, so many ideas! Well it’s time to get cracking! Since I’m off for the summer I should be able to handle this blog thing I’ve missed so much and the creative addiction I used to have. Lost my way for a bit but I’m back to spread my creative wings once again, but I’m going to try to do it in a realistic way. Isn’t it just the worst to make promises to ourselves that we can’t keep and raise the bar so high it’s impossible to get there. New leaf, new plan.
I spent time on Canada Day, translation July 1st, wandering the arts and crafts tent display at the Cobourg Waterfront Festival and I was apparently in the mood for some art because I picked up a few gems.
I walked away with two prints and a pendant necklace from Moon House Art. She has an Etsy shop as well, I picked up a fairy print, the fox in the woods and a pendant with this image in it.
I also fell in love with Cori Lee Marvin’s work. It’s breathtaking. I love watercolours and used to paint them often, something that I haven’t done in ages and ages. Her work is super realistic and absolutely amazing. She also has an Etsy shop.
I picked up this print, shocking I’m sure.
I’m also going back some day for this one, the colours in person are beautiful and I figured together with a sewing machine it was a good pairing for a crafty sometime blogger!
It was a super day browsing crafts, chatting with creative people and expanding my bedroom art wall (soon to be three walls because I have an addiction!)
Ok I think it’s done . . . for now. Here’s some close ups.
#1 from Lisah
#2 & 5 from the lovely Jenny, an original hoop I won (yes won!!) from her 365 project and a print available in her Etsy shop.
#3 from Coucousalut
#4 bought from from Elsie herself at Renegade Chicago a few years back.
#1 Bought at a craft show, sorry about the glare. It says “When I get sad, I just stop being sad and be awesome instead” Thank you Barney Stinson.

#3 print from ninjandninj
#4 another from from Jenny’s Etsy shop.

#4 Laura Jean‘s amazing work. I even picked more up yesterday from her.
#1 Julie again.
#2 Light and Paper
#3 Happy Town USA
#4 Made by my best friend. Says “Don’t ever let anyone dull your sparkle, because sparkle” Based on this and something funny my son said.
#5 One of two great prints I picked up at Make It Indie last year from Christine Benson
#6 Mittens by Katie Muth
I had another plan for the wall that my headboard is against but I started on the mission and realized it wasn’t going to work out as planned. I’ll have to rethink that one for now and make a new plan.

I nearly missed saying hi, things are busy around here!
I’m heading to the One of a Kind Craft Show tomorrow and I can’t wait! I love seeing all the great handmade items and talking to so many creative people. It’s such a blast.
I’m hoping to bump into this lovely lady. I purchased one of her prints when I was selling my own stuff, this print was just soooo beautiful.
I told Laura I wanted to wake up every morning looking at it and I do. I’m starting a wall right next to my bed of handmade art and graphic prints I’ve gotten on Etsy. Just a few things to frame and hang and I can share a pic. She’s got her Etsy shop on vacation right now as she lugs her stock down to the show but in the meantime here are some more of Laura’s amazing prints.
This last one is a detail of a beautiful print she has of a hare sitting in the snow on a starry, starry night. I just think nursery when I see it, it’s so simple and beautiful.
