Fabric swap anyone?

Ok I’m sooo ready for this.

I think I’m so ready that I’ll play twice.

Fine print –

– scraps must measure at least 2 inches by 2 inches, there is no maximum size but it is supposed to help you destash your scrap bin so sending fat quarters probably won’t help with that.

– scraps must be unwashed, clean, and in usable condition

– fabrics should be of relatively the same weight, cottons/linens/light canvas so allow for quilting or use in the same project

– be able to send 10-ish ounces to your partner mailed by May 27th

Leave a comment with your blog or email and I will match us up on Monday May 20th and send an email to you and your swap buddy.

Scrap Swap Time!

The keep everyone happy guidelines:

– be ready to send 10-ish ounces to your partner by Monday October 1st.

Swap is open to everyone so please be aware you may be shipping internationally unless you tell me otherwise.

Wheee!

Ok, I got the most amazing scraps in one of my scrap swap packages. I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome the pieces were and how great they fit with the fun fabrics I love! Not to mention she threw in some fun stuff left over from when she ran a Japanese store online.

Here’s some eye candy.

Some of these Japanese prints are amazing! I don’t know if I can bring myself to cut them up and actually sew with them.

This one is great but I’m totally baffled on what it’s about. Must be another strange Japanese fairy tale, seems to be a lot of people on fire in those.

Anyhow, I’m smitten with the contents of this package. And remember to store your strawberries in a DRAY place.

Scrap Swap partners!

Here we go again. Here are the pairs as I’ve magically matched them up using my children as a labour force. Pardon me for being a day late, my Mabel’s Labels giveaway took a day longer than I thought.

Speaking of the day 3 winner is . . . . thanks to random.org this time is Laura!  Congrats!

Ok back to the partners . . .

SewTara & Elizabeth
Oh Leela & Sarah
Hazel & SewTara
Lauren & Sara
Marysza & Nerina

Please get in touch with your partner, I’m sending out emails today, find out mailing info and start destashing!

And I am off to a cottage for a week! For the first time in a few years I’m heading out to a cottage. It’s going to be great, right on the water, sandy area for the kids, a dock . . . oh the list goes on. I’m not sure what the internet situation is up there, and if our phones have a signal my hubby is going to be tethering and using most of our data plan so I thought I’d go easy on it and take time to read and be offline a bit.

But fear not! I’ve worked on some of my blog land friends and I’ve got a few guest posts lined up so it’s going to be a good week at SewTara even without me.

Who’s up for a scrap swap!?

Yeah, I’m definitely addicted.  So who wants to satisfy their craving with me or get hooked?

Sign up here, I’ll take names until Friday May 20th .  Leave your name and some contact information and I’ll pair us all up. Be ready to commit to shipping your scrap bundle by June 10th.  This will be open to everyone everywhere so please let me know if you object to international shipping and I’ll match you with someone in your country.

I’ve learned that  shipping works in mysterious ways (something I’ve learned running my shop) so if you’re shipping across a border keep in mind it might take a bit.
