Giveaway day winners.

Well thanks to everyone who stopped by for another successful Giveaway Day. I love having tons of people come here, and I get to visit loads of new to me blogs, and then I get to pick someone and send them something that makes them smile! It’s all so fun.

I just choose my winners and congrats to Laura and Lynn! I had to pick 2 and hold myself back from choosing even more. Everyone left such lovely comments and I wish I could just sew all week and send all of you a wallet . . . sadly I can’t. Emails are sent Laura and Lynn so send me back your requests and addresses.

Friday Create Along

Ok first order of business is picking the lucky giveaway winner! Aaaaannnnd it’s Lee! Congrats Lee, Cristina has your info and will contact you. Have fun getting all pretty.

Next up is the addmission that I’m not done my camera pouch yet. I was on the second to last step last night and I can’t get the project to reach my needle! The arm part of my machine is just a touch too long for the project to slide up so I can stitch it. I tried as best as I could but when I turned it righside out there’s spots where the stitching didn’t catch all the layers. I’m going to check with some neighbours to see if their machine’s have shorter arm pieces and I’ll be able to slip the pouch on. I choose the small pattern, guess I shouldn’t have! Reveal coming soon.

Hi! My name is Shirley. I am a 29 year old from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I am a wife and a mother of 2 exceptionally adorable children (though I may be biased in that opinion!). I own the creative business The Orange Windmill, where I sell leather journals and notebooks. I also run the blog, Trees.Hides., where I write artist features, inspiration, link-ups, finds, family posts and goofiness. Come on over – I would love to see you join in the fun!

I am looking forward to being able to go outside without a heavy winter coat on. It was warm enough today to not wear a coat at all, and it was lovely!

Hi, I’m Margot. I’m a country living, want-to-be Newfoundlander, and soon-to-be new Mama. Currently, in between baby preparations, I spend my time sewing, baking, and getting my garden ready – I am so looking forward to the journey that lies ahead of me, won’t you stop by and say hello :)

Coupon: NEW20 for 20% off, because I have two new lines being added this month!

As we move into spring, as well as the beautiful blooms and bright colours, I am so looking forward to sandals, skirts and shorts. Bending over to put on socks/shoes is getting a little tired, and difficult. Only 8 weeks until the due date!

Hey! I’m Jessica, from My Love is Growing. I love making unwanted things look pretty and functional again. Last August, my husband and I purchased our first house, an 84-year old charmer that needed a little bit of love. Right now we’re working on renovating it into the perfect starter home. Follow us as we tear down walls, change out light fixtures, pick paint colours, install cabinets, well pretty much anything relating to a renovation… We’re learning a lot as we go and love sharing our story with you!

This spring, I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do with my house since it’ll be our very first spring! I’m hoping to plant new shrubs and flowers, give our front door a fresh new look and finally buy a bbq for grilling season!

Hi! My name is Celeste and I’m 29 years old. I’ve been married to my best friend for 5 incredible years now. No children yet, but we do have a cat and dog that we view as our kids. I love to create cute jewelry, adorable hair accessories, and lovable felt creations.

This spring I look forward to my creativity to be motivated by the Spring weather. I opened my Etsy shop during the Winter, so I’m excited to see what bright colors and new creations will develop in my shop during Spring.

Friday Create Along

I made my adorable little brooch, of course late at night once again so I Instagrammed it (is that a word now?). I’m growing quiet the little collection of handmade accessories, I’ll have to post them soon.

Next up is this great embroidery pattern. It’s for your family tree, which could include loved ones and pets too.

Not only is it a fun little project I have an even funner part (yes, I really talk like that in person) I contacted CozyBlue and they’ve agreed to give away 1 copy of the pattern to a lucky blog reader. Check out the Flickr group to see all the fun creations people have made using their patterns.

Leave a comment here until Tuesday February 28th and I’ll announce a winner in my post on Wednesday. For fun tell me what you love from the shop.

I think these are really nice.

Good luck!

My goal for 2012 is to organise more, create more, and upload photos from my dlsr to the internet to share within a month of taking them :)

Check out my blog, pinterest, or shop.

Friday Create Along

Hello again! I managed to finish my soft blocks in time to package them up for the baby shower. I had to rush and take pictures moments before though so bear with me with these late afternoon winter in Canada shots.

They turned out really well. I even added a little bell inside so they jingle when you shake them.

I didn’t even make the connection that it was also Zaaberry’s tutorial for pattern weights that I sewed up a while back. The two projects are pretty much the same just one is squishier and has ribbon.

And for our next project this lovely little slippers. I used random.org to choose the lucky lady, and once again I wasn’t sure how to capture the image, really need to work on that. But it was number 9! So congrats to Nancy! I’m sad I can’t give this out to everyone, you were all so excited about it! It’s been a goal of mine to learn how to make PDF sewing patterns, maybe I’d be bad at it and just give them away all the time.

If you didn’t win you can still pop over to the shop and pick up a copy of your own for only a few dollars. Then go forth and crochet and come back and share!

Friday Create Along giveaway, on a Wednesday!

I’ve done some poking around and found some neat patterns to add to my growing list of ‘make this for the create along’ items. Luckily I’ve also dome some asking around and I’ve been told I’m allowed to share a pattern or two with a lucky reader. I’m also going to challenge myself here and switch to a crochet pattern and hope for the best. These are adult slippers, but Two Girls Patterns also have a toddler version . . . sometimes it’s a good thing I have 2 boys.

Sooooo if you would like to win a PDF copy of this pattern leave a comment below. You don’t have to jump through any hoops to win. However, I would love it if you can actually make the slippers for the Create Along and if you could share your creation (email me or post it in the Flickr group).

I’ll keep the comments open until Friday’s Create Along post, which, if I’m honest with myself will probably go up in the late afternoon for me now that Friday is one of my full days at work. I’ll pick one lucky reader and email them a copy of the pattern. Then we can get our crochet on! Good luck everyone.
