CLOSED Kidecals giveaway!

So I picked myself up some Kidecals, they’re pretty neat!

I’ve been wanting some keyboard stickers for a really long time.  One day I picked up this cute panda faced silicone layover thing at Toys R us, I thought it was adorable.  It looked great but it felt really weird on the keyboard. I couldn’t handle it. I took it back the next day.

These stickers however are another story.  They fit your keys well and you don’t feel things all differently.

Of course I chose the Crafty Cute set, which I combined with a full keyboard set.

Plus the extra fun stickers I ordered are great on my water bottles! They’re waterproof and dishwasher safe.

I peeled off my old vintage shelf paper laptop cover (tutorial here) and decided to plaster mine with stickers instead for a while.

However should you desire a nice cover for your laptop they have a bunch available.

Fun at ‘the teacher store’

I took my kids to ‘the teacher store’ the other day for a bit of a play. It’s actually Scholar’s Choice but ‘the teacher store’ is what most of us at school call it. My kids used to call it ‘the Thomas store’ becuase there was a Thomas table and loads of engines but now those have been replaced with a Chuggington table so there was some confusion on the weekend as to what we should call it now.

While the kids were playing I did some wandering around and came across these awesome stickers. The simple design and whole vintage feel of them is great.

I have no clue right now what I’m going to use them for but I do know that as a teacher I couldn’t pass them up and as a crafter I really couldn’t resist them. I can’t wait to put them to good use on some sort of project.

Mooooo

Well I like MOO and MOO likes me (more on that exciting news later) and I had a hard time figuring out how to display my magnet sets. Eventually I just went with the boring little plastic bag and paper thing. But some MOO stickers helped to jazz it up, and cover the staple.

This pyrex dish has become one of my favourite display items.

I also loaded up on Mini MOO cards recently and since I’ve spent time sitting at 2 events recently I tagged and priced everything. I feel so organized.

I’ve always carried brown paper bags for my customers and I usually stamp them. This time I decided to put some stickers on the outside and put the stamp on the inside, like a little surprise when you open the bag.

My gift giving challenge.

You know I don’t really need yet another creative thing to do but they’re always so fun and cute. Keyka Lou posted this great ribbon the other day which of course sent me off clicking to Etsy to see what it’s all about.

While I was admiring all the pretty chevron ribbons I had a lightbulb moment. I’m going to wrap all my gifts pretty simply, kraft paper or bags or boxes and then go all out making them look great with twine, ribbon, doilies and other such embellishments. That way the items are reusable, repurposable or biodegradable.

Allow me to share some of my fav items and shops that will help me, and you if you want to play, with this challenge. Click images to be whisked away to shops!

I’ve ordered a set of these already to make my own envelopes out of various papers.

You can order a printable PDF file for these vintage linen inspired cards.

Hoboville has the cutest rubber stamps I have ever seen! A great option for making your own printed wrapping paper.

Thriftypyg has some great ephemiria items that would jazz up some plain kraft paper nicely. Check out these cute stamps.

I’ve got some of these stashed away downstairs, no clue what I’m going to use them for but they are ridiculously sweet.

Baker’s twine is pretty easy to find on Etsy but these little mushroom spools are extra super cute.

Pretty Tape has a great selection of . . . pretty washi tape and loads of other great packaging accessories.

Some of my favourite shops for packaging supplies are Paper & Parcel , California Craft and of course I couldn’t have made it this far without Knot & Bow.

Mooooooo

I might be addicted.

They launched some new products recently.

And had some really good sales.

And I didn’t even photograph the stickers!

1, 2, 3, Mabel’s labels giveaway!

Hello there, so here’s my first venture into the world of a video blog. I figured I’d make it a fun giveaway and that way people won’t notice the silliness. Please excuse the over use of the word “um”, I did 2 takes and it didn’t get any better so, um, oh well.

Here’s the link to Mabel’s Labels so you can see all their nifty products. Here’s where you go to design your own Loot Bag Combo Builder, it shows you a proof right there.

Remember today’s winner gets 1 set of personalized labels and a Tag Mate. This is open to everyone world wide. Please only enter once.

***OOOPS There was some technical difficulty loading this video yesterday so I had to work around what I had planned. Soooo the giveaway was bumped a day (I don’t have a nice quiet house to re-shoot). When I say “Friday” is the last day, it’s now Saturday. Sorry about that***

Leave your comments below and good luck!

Boy do I love Moo!

The first time I ordered from MOO it was for free business cards with an offer they had on Etsy. So I got 50 beautiful business cards for free. I loved the quality of them, they felt great and the picture quality was amazing! The second time I ordered with them I was heading to my first craft show and wanted some minicards to use as price tag type things. I let my order sit in my browser for ages and when I finally got to actually finalizing the order. When the confirmation email arrived it said the cards would be here Monday the blahblahth. My show was on the Saturday. In a panic I sent an email and asked if they could do anything to help, or could I upgrade to the express shipping. They replied quickly and bumped my shipping to the fastest one at no additional charge!

About a week ago I ordered another pack on mini MOOs late at night, it was nearly midnight. When I woke up the next morning I had the MOOsletter in my inbox with a special offer in it for free shipping on mini MOOs. I groaned and sent an email asking if there was anyway to apply the discount code to my order since it was only placed a few hours before. They hooked me up with a quick reply and a refund! So I love MOO.

Today there was an offer for MOO stickers at 35% off. I’ve been thinking of ways to brighten up my packaging for shipping and these will be perfect for that, as well as sticking on my plain brown paper bags I use at ‘in person’ shows! I’m so excited. Above are the images I used, you can upload a ton of images, 1 for each sticker if you wanted. Otherwise it just does the math and figured out how many of each image you’ll receive. So I put MOO in the super cool category and wanted to share.

Promo code is PEFC7Q and the offer for 35% off stickers is on until October 31st.

Fun stuff from Renegade Craft Fair.

Ok, once again taking far to long for this but here’s some of the fun stuff I picked up in Chicago at the craft fair.

This beautiful necklace is from Isette. I thought it was perfect, especially for a teacher.

These sticker by Hello Wars is awesome! I had a hard time choosing just one. Then I remembered I only had a spot for one on my lappy. Decision made.

I got a fun grab bag from Reuse First full of paper crafts and fun things made from scavenged papers.

I got this awesome card from Kate Funk. It was hard to decide she has quite the fun selection.

I LOVE this one too.

I also got this fun shirt for my hubby.
